Let the Games Begin! When in Dallas one of my favorite places to visit is the castle at Medieval Times. Great news! Medieval Times will reopen Wednesday, July 15, however, COVID-19 health protocols and strict guidelines will be in place.

Visitors to the castle will be required to wear a mask, according to state guidelines plus contactless temperature checks will also be required before entering Her Majesty's castle. Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament offers its guests a trip into another realm when knights along with their blades of steel protected the kingdom where the King and Queen ruled. Not only will you witness a battle of champions complete with a jousting tournament but you will be charmed by the majestic beauty and grace of their horses. Guests become a part of the show as you cheer for your favorite knight to be crowned the Queen's champion.

Throughout the tournament, you'll feast like a king with a 4-course meal in the royal court with your highness, the Queen. You'll savor the garlic toast, tomato bisque soup. roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, herb-basted potato, and top it off with a tasty dessert selected by the castle with your choice of beverage. And, if you happen to be a Vegetarian Medieval Times can honor that wish as well in the 11th Century style castle.

One of the highlights of the castle is when a real live Falcon takes flight around the arena reminding all of us of the pageantry of the middle ages. So, if you want to take a trip back in time when Kings and Queens ruled the world, Wizards cast spells and magic, and knights fought to the bitter end, this is the place to be.

I must finish by saying, with great storytelling, music, special effects, lighting, fog, and lots of action, you will want to return time and time again. This is a 3-hour journey from Texarkana that has to go on your bucket list of Must-See.

For tickets, time, and more information, please visit their website or Facebook. Take advantage of some special pricing now during their reopening for a limited time.
