Another thing to look forward to this fall are the stick-to-your-bones recipes.

With fall right around the corner, I find myself craving those wonderful fall flavors. Warm savory and sweet dishes with a touch of nostalgia are my can't-get-enough favorites. These dishes are meant to warm your soul and keep you warm on those chilly days.

And yes, I've already indulged in a pumpkin spice latte AND an apple cider donut at Starbucks.

Arkansas' top dish incorporates one of my favorite ingredients... the sweet potato. It's Makeover Streusel-Topped Sweet Potatoes. Playing up the sweetness in these potatoes is divine and surprisingly pretty healthy. In fact, this is a "healthy makeover" of a traditional streusel that can be loaded down with sugar and extra calories.
