As summer winds down us summer lovers can look forward to events for next year. So go ahead and mark your calendars! Riverfest 2017 in Little Rock, AR. will be the festival’s 40th anniversary celebration taking place the first weekend of June.

“We’re excited to officially announce the dates for next year’s Riverfest,” said DeAnna Korte, the festival’s executive director. “We made several changes last year that resulted in a big success for the event. We want to build on that success and make this year’s 40th anniversary the best festival yet!”

Flowing on the River, the festival’s separately ticketed wine and craft beer event, will kick off Riverfest 2017 on Thursday, June 1, followed by a two-day music festival (June 2-3) featuring some of America’s hottest acts. On Sunday, June 4, to commemorate Riverfest’s 40 years in the community, a special celebration and “thank you” to the public will be held with all-day activities, which conclude that evening with a spectacular firework show. Ticket holders for the two-day music festival will be admitted free into Sunday’s events.

“A portion of proceeds from Riverfest goes back into the community” said Korte. “Each year over 2,500 volunteers come together to produce a quality festival for a low admission price. Without the volunteers and support of the community, Riverfest wouldn’t take place.”

Springfest, a free event for families, will return to Riverfront Park Saturday, April 8, and again include the popular family-friendly activities such as acrobats, arts and crafts, the Super Retriever Series dog jumping competitions and more.
