According to AAA, the main factors for lower gas prices are that crude oil prices are at their lowest of the year. The second factor is that the gasoline demand is lower this time of year. Gas prices haven't been this low since 2021.

The current statewide average for regular unleaded is $2.53 per gallon. Some places are reporting gas for $2.19 per gallon, while some locations in Arkansas have dropped below $2.
