Millions of Americans will be hitting the road this Memorial Day holiday weekend. The good news is that gas prices are down significantly across the state of Arkansas.

According to KARK, folks visiting the state this weekend can enjoy lower gas prices thanks to a healthy gas supply and lower crude oil prices. AAA reports that the current average price for a gallon of regular gas in Arkansas is $2.80. Compared to last year during this time, that's 31 cents lower and two cents lower than last week. An AAA official reports that gas prices haven't been this low over the Memorial holiday weekend since 2021. This year, 39.4 million Americans are expected to travel during the 3-day long holiday weekend.
