McConaughey will receive the prestigious "Legend & Groundbreaker Award" presented by Variety during a special event on Friday, August 14, at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts in Little Rock.

Special Screening of The Rivals of Amziah King in Little Rock

The evening will also feature a screening of The Rivals of Amziah King, followed by a question-and-answer session with Arkansas Cinema Society co-founder Jeff Nichols, the acclaimed director behind films including Mud and The Bikeriders.

The event is expected to draw film lovers from across the region for a night celebrating great storytelling and one of Hollywood's most beloved stars
