Most Magical Town in Arkansas Feels Like Hallmark Christmas Movie

The Christmas holiday season officially begins the day after Thanksgiving but many Americans have already started celebrating and getting into the holiday spirit. Since the middle of October, the Hallmark channel has been showing Christmas movies.

Did you know several small charming towns in Arkansas are reminiscent of a town you would see in a Hallmark movie?

Most Magical Town in Arkansas

One of those towns happens to be in Searcy, Arkansas about an hour's drive north of Little Rock. In 2023 Southern Living named Searcy the Most Magical Town in Arkansas. During December over a dozen Christmas-themed events are going on including their annual Christmas parade during Holiday of Lights.

The entire town and park are decorated to the max with millions of sparkling lights including Arkansas' oldest courthouse the 1871 White County Courthouse which has a domed clock tower that looks like something from the movie, Back to the Future.

The historic downtown Searcy business storefronts and restaurants are decorated and adorned with beautiful twinkling lights with Christmas displays in every window. The spirit of the Christmas season gives a feeling of warmth especially when you take in a holiday classic movie at the historic vintage Rialto Theater.

Children can enjoy breakfast with Santa Claus or leave a letter for Santa on certain days of the month.

For those romantics at heart, horse-drawn carriage rides give you a tour of the downtown area while you are all bundled up and sipping on hot chocolate as you enjoy this charming town.
