Mother’s Day Floral Cabbage Centerpiece [VIDEO]
Mother's Day is just around the corner. Yes, Sunday, May 10 to be exact. If you plan on having your mom over for lunch or dinner, the table has got to be perfect. Here is a great idea for a beautiful springtime centerpiece made out of a cabbage head.
Now, when I think of cabbage, the last thing that comes to mind is a pretty floral arrangement. But the best part about this is how easy it is to make.
I was thinking it would be cool to cut it out a little more and make it into a bowl for a vegetable dip or to hold veggies for dipping. You can use the cut out portion of the cabbage in a salad.
From Southern Living Items you'll need are:
-1 large cabbage with pretty outer leaves
-1 small Mason jar or glass
-Paring knife
-3 bunches of flowers in shades of pink (we used: tulips, hyacinth, spray roses)
-Rubber bands
-Greenery from the yard
A cabbage as a vase? You better believe it! We love the naturally beautiful look of this DIY centerpiece: http://bit.ly/1OIOAZO
