What would the Spring season be without flowers? Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas is gearing up for the Tulip Extravaganza.

Walking into this garden paradise will mesmerize your senses seeing all the blooming flowers, trees, and tulips.  As you walk over stone bridges, winding trails, and waterfalls throughout this park setting, you will be stunned by the array of colors projected by the different varieties of flowers in bloom including crocus, daffodils, and hyacinths, But the Tulip Extravaganza is captivating featuring some 150,000 Dutch Tulips in every color imaginable surrounded by azaleas, daffodils and more. However, the weather determines when most of the flowers are in bloom, right now daffodils are in full bloom. Most of the tulips should be blooming later this month into early April, but there is no estimated time on their blooming.

I wanted to share a few pictures I took when I visited the gardens a few years ago.  Garvan Woodland Gardens is most definitely worth the short drive from Texarkana.

One of the newer attractions is the fairy villages carved out of trees.

This is probably one of my favorite trees there, it's called a snowball tree because its blooms resemble giant snowballs.

While your there make sure you visit the Anthony Chapel Complex an all-wood beam, glass structure that overlooks the meditation garden. This is a special venue used for weddings, concerts and other events throughout the year.

A walk through Tulip Extravaganza and no I didn't tip-toe through the tulips.
