Smithsonian Partners With Museums To Offer Free Entry

Although the Smithsonian offers free admission every day, many museums aren’t able to do so. Therefore, the Museum Day Live! idea was born.

The event is hosted annually “by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Ticket . . . for free” states Smithsonian magazine website.

Go to Smithsonian's website on Saturday, Sept. 28 to download a ticket to print or to your phone. The ticket is only valid for Sept. 28 and is good for one person and a guest. The website helps you locate the museums that are participating in your area.
