My Open Letter to a Soldier And More For Veteran’s Day [VIDEO]

The elections are over and whether your candidate won or not America still stands somewhat divided, somewhat united. This is not the Divided States of America, this is the United States of America.  It's time we focus on the men and women of our armed forces this Veteran's Day Sunday (Nov. 11) who have sacrificed their lives to bring us the freedom we endure today as an American. And to honor our veteran's and those who are serving today, head downtown on Saturday, Nov. 10 for the annual Veterans Day Parade which begins at 11 a.m. with the traditional parade route. Also, Little River County is having their own Veteran’s Day Celebration in Ashdown. The party starts at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9 on the Little River Courthouse lawn and will feature special music, veteran recognition and a special tribute to veterans past and present.

Don't forget Hooters is honoring all Veteran's and active military with 10 FREE boneless wings with a drink purchase this Sunday, Nov. 11.

On Monday, Nov. 12, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Golden Corral will give out Veterans Day free meals to any person who has ever served in the U.S. military or is on current active duty.

Dear Soldier,

 It is Election Day 2012, a day we exercise our right as Americans to choose the next President of the United States. I’m proud to say I cast my vote last week, but when I returned from the voting booth it made me think of all the sacrifices you and our other military men and women have made on our behalf.

 Your loyalty in serving our country allows us to maintain the freedom we enjoy today. We truly live in the land of the free and the home of the brave thanks to the greatest military the world has to offer.
