National Pet Adoption Event at Petsmart on Saturday

If you’ve been considering adopting a new four-legged family member, please come to PetSmart this weekend during the PetSmart Charities National Adoption Event. This special adoption weekend will be held at more than 1,200 PetSmart stores nationwide. When you adopt during this event you will receive free food for your new pet as well as coupons for great savings.

Several local dog rescues will be attending the event on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 15, 16 and 17. The Texarkana Animal League along with several other rescues will be set up with their adoptable dogs on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Other rescues will schedule their events for Friday and Saturday.

Save a pet’s life and enrich your own with the pure joy that only a tail wag can bring. Make it extra-special when you adopt. Whether you want a cat, dog, puppy or kitten, a purebred or mixed breed, you’re bound to find the perfect match among the pets up for adoption during this weekend long event. Dog adoption fees vary depending on which rescue they are coming from. Cat adoptions out of the cat room at PetSmart are $80.  All animals have been fully vetted, including spay and neuter and many have been microchipped.
