According to a press release from the City of Texarkana, Texas, the event will draw some of the nation’s top anglers and outdoor enthusiasts to our area for a week of competitive fishing and community activities.

Big Competition, Big Prize Fishing Tournament Coming to Texarkana
The tournament will feature 145 boats competing throughout the week, with daily launches and recoveries taking place at Wright Patman Lake. Official weigh-ins will be held at Spring Lake Park in Texarkana on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Anglers will be competing for the top prize of $100,000, and the public is invited to attend the weigh-ins to see the day’s biggest catches and meet some of the professional anglers taking part in the event.

Some of the events will include meet-and-greets, fishing events at Spring Lake Park, and visiting local schools. Participating anglers will represent the host site during these activities, helping connect with the community and inspire young fishing fans.
Mayor Welcomes Anglers Back to Texarkana
Texarkana Texas, Mayor Bob Bruggeman said,
This tournament represents an exciting opportunity to showcase Texarkana’s natural resources, parks, and hospitality on a national stage. We’re especially proud to partner with NPFL once again on community outreach efforts that leave a positive and lasting impact beyond the competition.
The NPFL is known for its focus on anglers, conservation, and community involvement, making Texarkana a strong host location for the national event. When the league last held a tournament here in 2023, about 94 boats competed for the same $100,000 top prize.
More details, including public weigh-in times and additional community events, are expected to be announced soon. You can keep up to date with all the events on the Facebook Events page.
