If you need another reason to head out to the bar, we've got a good one.

Apparently, having a bar where everyone knows your name is actually a good thing. According to a new survey out of the U.K., being a regular at a small, local bar is good for your health.

Well, maybe not the drinking aspect, but let me explain.

The study says that people who have a bar like this are significantly happier, have more friends, and have better life satisfaction than other people. In fact, this kind of atmosphere will actually encourage you to drink less.

In a world where everyone is glued to their smartphone, face-to-face interaction is still incredibly important. I may be even more important now that we get it less and less.

Think about how good it feels to go home, where everyone knows who you are. You get patted on the back, complimented, and taken care of. Those same feel-good endorphins can also be found at the local bar.
