Reminder: Fireworks Are Illegal Within Texarkana City Limits
If you're planning to light up the sky this Fourth of July, you may want to pump the brakes a bit.
Coming soon, we will be celebrating our nation’s freedom. And what would the Fourth of July be without the burgers, ice cream and fireworks? It’s a holiday we all look forward to year in and year out. We find ourselves all childlike as we stare up into the sky, mouths agape and eyes wide.
I’m so pumped!
However, before you take a blow torch to those fuses to create fire in the sky, you may want to remind yourself that fireworks are illegal within Texarkana's city limits. It's plain and simple with no ifs or buts. You cannot sell, possess or shoot fireworks and if you do, it comes with a pretty hefty fine.
In other words, don't mess with the law.
If you are looking for a fabulous fireworks display, check out Sparks in the Park this Saturday, June 24. We'll be out at the Four States Fairgrounds beginning at 4 p.m. with the fireworks show kicking off at 9:30 p.m. It's free to attend with fun for the entire family.
