Sam Hunt Says Country Music Is Exactly Who He Is, Will Never Leave

Leave country music for the pop world? Sam Hunt wouldn't dare.

Sam Hunt has made a name for himself in country music. His music could easily crossover to pop music, but before you freak out thinking Sam is leaving us, let me tell you that he has no intentions of leaving.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sam revealed that he doesn't even know how to go about leaving the genre. Besides, he says country music is who he is.

"The things that'll be in my records, for as long as I make them, will be about who I am, where I'm from, and the lifestyle that I live and come from. I don't know how I could ever get any of that close enough to pop to be considered a pop act."

The writer also asked Sam if he has ever heard his song "House Party" while at a house party. He said he hasn't been in that situation mostly because he doesn't like listening to himself.

"I hate listening to myself in general, especially with a bunch of people around, so I would have to sabotage that if it happened."

Well we love Sam's voice and will do anything to keep him where he belongs... country music. Besides, all the handsome men have to stay on our side, right ladies?
