Sasquatch Survival Hike – Registration Now Required
At first, this seemed like a fun thing to do, a new twist on attracting folks to the great outdoors, how to survive in the wild like Sasquatch. Who knew it was going to be this popular?
When the Caddo Lake State Park - Texas Parks and Wildlife people announced the tour a week or so ago the response was amazing, over 700 people showed interest on their Facebook page alone. So, to protect the wildlife and keep the group to a manageable number, they want to keep it to about 40 folks for each tour, more times have been added to the schedule and you must make reservations. You can't just show up.
So, if you would like to find out how to "Live Like a Sasquatch" the date is set for Saturday, March 10, at 1 PM and 3 PM. Please call and make your reservations and let them know which time is best for you. Maybe if we keep showing interest, they will do more.
The hike will be a moderate one at 0.66 miles, that does include a steep section of stairs. Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring water.
As noted on their event page from Facebook:
This program is weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather this program will be cancelled. All park programs are open and free to the public upon payment of entrance fees (adults 13 and up are $4, children 12 and under are always free!).
