Second Annual Mardi Gras Festival And Parade March 1

It's Mardi Gras time! The second annual Texarkana Mardi Gras is coming up on Saturday, March 1 at Front Street Festival Plaza in Downtown Texarkana.This year the Mardi Gras theme is 'Super Heroes & Marvels.' As usual there will be three different parades starting with the Paws & Rascals Parade at 3:30 p.m. Followed by the Motorcade at 4 p.m., then the Grand Parade starting at 4:30 p.m. In addition, Louisiana native and King of Cajun music Jo-El Sonnier will be the guest entertainer with a free concert following the Grand Parade.

Look for the Krewe of Kicker throwing beads out to the crowd along the parade route.
