The countdown to Thanksgiving is underway and whether you are staying home cooking or traveling to see relatives planning that perfect Thanksgiving meal can become very stressful.

Well, times have changed more people today are now opting to eat out instead of doing the traditional meal at home. There used to be a time when you had no choice because restaurants were closed on Thanksgiving but not anymore. Cracker Barrel will be open their regular hours with two different home-cooked meals Turkey and Dressing or the Country Fried Turkey with loaded mashed potatoes. Denny's

This has become America's late-night or go-to place at any time of the day or night. I'm pretty sure they will have some type of turkey meal on the menu for Thanksgiving Day.

Golden Corral

This is the perfect place for a Thanksgiving traditional meal because the all-you-eat buffet will feature Turkey and Dressing with your favorite sides, pumpkin and pecan pies just to name a few. And if you do not want to dine in, take-out is available.

IHOP

IHOP restaurants will be open nationwide on Turkey Day and will be serving up some new holiday menu items like cranberry-vanilla pancakes or a frozen hot chocolate milkshake. Dine in or Take out 24 hours a day.

Popeyes

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen will be open on Thanksgiving Day not only can you enjoy their famous chicken sandwich or fried chicken but you can purchase a whole pre-cooked cajun-flavored turkey that all you have to do is take it home and pre-heat for a delicious Thanksgiving feast and don't forget the sides. Red Lobster

When I think of Thanksgiving I sure don't think of seafood but if you are not into the big bird Lobster and a variety of seafood just might be what the doctor ordered. Dine in or Take out. Select stores nationwide will be open.

Sonic

Toss the turkey for a Sonic Cheeseburger and tots and top off your meal with a hand-spun milkshake from America's Drive-In.
