Senior Expo is this Friday

Seniors, if you're looking for information about health, finances, senior services and everyday life, there's a great opportunity coming up later this week in Texarkana.

The 2026 Senior Expo will take place this Friday, September 18, from 9 AM to noon at the Texarkana, Texas Convention Center, 4610 Cowhorn Creek Loop, across from Central Mall.

The free event is designed to connect area seniors and their families with businesses, healthcare providers, organizations, and other resources all under one roof. More than 75 vendor booths will be set up, giving attendees plenty of opportunities to ask questions, gather information, and discover services available in the Texarkana area.

Free Screenings, Giveaways and Mini Seminars

There will be plenty to see and do throughout the morning, including free health screenings, door prizes, and giveaways.

Attendees can also take advantage of mini seminars running from 9 AM until noon, covering topics designed to provide useful information for today's seniors.

With vendors representing healthcare, financial services, hearing care, home health and other senior-focused services, the expo offers a chance to get answers without having to make a dozen different stops around town.

Stick Around for the Lunch & Learn

The event continues after the expo with a Lunch & Learn from noon to 1 PM.

Mark Lingle with RRCU Financial Services will present "Financial Solutions for Everyday Life," offering information focused on everyday financial matters.

Admission to the Senior Expo is free, making it an easy way to spend a Friday morning gathering information, meeting local providers, and possibly walking away with some prizes and freebies as well.

9 Times Dolly Parton Was Extremely Generous

We're talking millions and millions of dollars.

We've rounded up some of the largest donations Parton made throughout her career and, quite frankly, we wouldn't be surprised if she has more to give even after her death.
