Autumn is here and soon we will start seeing the beautiful colors too. Leaves will start changing colors soon and Arkansas is a great place to see it. The best time to start seeing all the colors of fall is Towards the end of October and into November.

Get in your car and take a little day trip and enjoy all the colors. You can sign up for weekly email updates from the Arkansas Tourism Department. They'll give you a quick rundown of where the color changes are taking place.

There are quite a few scenic routes to drive where you can see all the fall colors including the Scenic 7 Byway. This one is the easiest for us in our area to drive. It runs from Harrison, Russellville, Hot Springs, Arkadelphia and on through El Dorado to the border with Louisiana. So it's super easy to catch for a day trip at Arkadelphia and drive north.

If you want to go further north then take a drive up to the Ozarks and northern Arkansas. Crowley's RidgeGreat River Road. It is recommended if you want to see the best and most vibrant colors in that area then to wait til mid to late October.

In November be sure to drive up to Ouachita State Park.
