Sonic Offers Limited Edition College Burgers

Have you heard? An Oklahoma City-based Sonic Drive-In is offering college football fans to take a bite out of their arch rival.

The limited edition burger features a steamed team logo on the bun. Sonic has deals with Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana universities. The specialty sandwiches will also feature regional add-ons, like pepper jack cheese on the University of Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun’s burger, or brisket on the OU Sooner Brisket Cheeseburger.

These Sonic "Team Steam" burgers will cost between $3.99 and $4.99 and will only be available for a limited time during the football season.

No word yet if Arkansas and Texas A&M fans will get their own version but we'll keep you posted.

I think my version of the sandwich would be called the 'Bret' burger and would contain a slice of ham or brisket with swiss cheese.

And for Texas A&M fans the signature Johnny Football burger (autograph optional).
