Listed below are the requirements for the Accounts Payable position.

Starting Salary: $23.81 per hour

Applicants must have a college degree with an emphasis in Accounting or equivalent work experience and three year’s Payroll Processing experience is preferred. Responsibilities include maintaining all payroll records, process payroll, balance, and verify data accuracy, balance and transmit direct deposit files and 401(k) files as applicable.  Process correct garnishment payroll information from Federal and State documentation.· Process labor distribution to the general ledger and generate applicable reports.

You will act as liaison with management and employees and ensure a timely response to inquiries for information in payroll areas and process accurate and timely year-end W-2’s, as well as assisting employees with loan requests and contribution changes.

This job will require you to process accounts payable by compiling, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, ensuring proper general ledger coding and timely payment in compliance with financial policies and procedures.you will also reconcile vendor statements, research, and resolve vendor payment issues. as well as comply with state sales tax requirements by properly accruing sales tax on invoices. And perform other accounting and payroll duties as assigned. The applicant must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, organized and analytical.

You must be knowledgeable of payroll principles, practices, regulations, and procedures and government statutes, regulations and rules governing wage and hour regulations, state unemployment and federal taxes. And knowledge of accounting and payroll processing procedures, spreadsheets, word-processing, PowerPoint and database management tools.

The applicant must have the ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written format and be able to work with an employee group, directors, retirees, and other agencies.and of course, be able to work with the general public.

The applicant must have the following:

College degree with an emphasis in accounting preferred. Three years’ experience processing payroll preferred.
