Learn to be a Beekeeper in This Free Class Tonight in Texarkana

Have you always wanted to be a beekeeper and have your own honey? Then you do not want to miss this program by Texas A&M University-Texarkana and the Bowie County Master Gardeners called “The Buzz About Bees” tonight, Monday, November 13

How do I Become a Beekeeper?

Bees are an important part of our ecosystem. Did you know that if there were no bees in the world it would be hard for us to survive? According to activesustanablitiy.com

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) states that there are 100 crop species that provide 90% of food around the world and 71 of these are pollinated by bees.

The class will be from 6 PM until 8 PM and this class is free and open to the public.

What Will I Learn in The Buzz About Bees Program

The program will be presented by Robbie Robinson, of the Texarkana Beekeepers Association. You will learn all about what is needed to begin beekeeping and the processes involved in keeping them healthy and productive. There will also be information about how things might affect the hive negatively like pollution, climate change and more.

After the presentation, there will be a question-and-answer session.

 This Program is Free and Open to the Public

This free class is open to the public and will be held in Room 326 of the University Center building on the A&M-Texarkana Campus.
