Summer Concert Series – Lee Roy Parnell July 22

The 2017 Murphy USA Summer Concert Series continues with Lee Roy Parnell on Saturday, July 22, in historic downtown El Dorado at 8PM.

The free summer concert series is presented by Main Street El Dorado Festivals and Events.

I've always been a fan of Lee Roy Parnell who had a string of hits in the 90s including his number-one single "A Little Bit of You." Other hits included "Tender Moment," "What Kind of Fool do You Think I Am," "On The Road," "Love Without Mercy," and my personal favorite "When a Woman Loves a Man."

You always knew you were listening to Parnell because of his unique electric slide guitar signature sound and distinctive soulful vocals. This Grammy-nominated native Texan carved is way onto the country music charts when country was at its peak. I'm almost certain that his musical style would still fit into to today's mainstream pop country sound.
