Now with COVID hospitalizations up in our area it's a great time to remind you that blood donations are desperately needed. LifeShare Blood Center is giving some great incentives to make a blood donation.

Texarkana and the surrounding area is in need of all types of blood, according to LifeShare Blood Services, the blood supply is critically low. An emergency alert in place due to depleted blood supply.

LifeShare Blood Center will temporarily be adding testing for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies to the panel of testing for all volunteer blood donors.

Community Healthcore and LifeShare are teaming up to celebrate Community Healthcore’s 50th Anniversary with a community blood drive on Tuesday, July 14, from 10am – 2pm at the Community Healthcore located 2435 College Drive.

There is still a need for blood in our area, especially since elective surgeries will start up again very soon. There are blood drives this week and a special blood drive for Liberty Eylau High School to reach its LifeScholar Scholarship blood drive goal.

As we get closer to the holidays and our schedules get busier and busier and our blood supply at LifeShare Blood Center goes down. Right now there is less than a day of Type O in reserve. But all blood types are needed. Be sure to stop by one of these blood drives in our area over the next couple of weeks.
