Harvest Regional Food Bank will distribute 1,000 emergency food box bundles to Texarkana-area residents Wednesday, December 16 beginning at 8:00 am at Four States Fairgrounds, 3700 E 50th St, Texarkana, AR. This walk was rained out in October so it was rescheduled to this Sunday, Nov. 15 at 1PM. The third annual suicide prevention walk held in Texarkana in honor of Matthew Gaines as well as many others. There is no fee to participate. The purpose of the walk is to raise awareness and to help prevent suicide in the Texarkana area.

The first ever 'One of a Kind Walk to Cure Diabetes' went off without a hitch at Bobby Ferguson Park this past Saturday, July 19. You couldn't ask for better weather for the walk to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Hats off to Kayce Welch and her mom Robin for organizing this walk. Around 100 people showed up in support of Kayce and participated in the walk.
