Hot Springs

Traveling this Fourth of July weekend? Well, you don't have to travel far to see some spectacular fireworks around the region. Some of my favorite firework shows happen over water and there are several lakes near here where you can enjoy just that.

Continuing the Hot Springs adventure from a couple of weeks ago;  Last week I told you about the wonderful Garvin Gardens, well on Sunday, things got a little wilder.

My wife started off the texting conversation with "Let's go play in Hot Springs this weekend, that's better than any old stoopy tool, socks or underwear." She was referring to the rotary tool I had on my Father's Day wish list. "Stoopy" means stupid by the way.

If you're out looking for Christmas light displays to help you get into the holiday spirit you have to take the short trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas to visit Garvan Woodland Gardens.

I know this band is not considered country but if you grew up in the '70s like I did, then I know you've heard of KC and The Sunshine Band. I was in high school and on the radio at the time when "Get Down Tonight" came out.

In need of something to take the kids to see July 26 or 27? Well pack up the car and head on out to Hot Springs to see The Witness musical passion play.

Whenever I hear people talk about going to the lake in Hot Springs, they're usually talking about Lake Hamilton. But, for real relaxation and beauty, Hamilton's big sister lake is the place to go.
