Texarkana Area COVID-19: By The Numbers – December 29
Bowie County reports 182 new cases bringing the total to 2,878 cumulative positive COVID-19 cases, with 8 additional deaths over the Christmas weekend for a total of 119. The Department of State Health Services is reporting an additional 966 probable cases with a total of 3285 estimated recoveries.
Cass County added 41 new cases, for a total of 860, 411 probable cases with 1190 of those recovered, 36 active cases and 3 new death for a total of 45.
Miller County reports 2673 cumulative cases, 200 active cases, 2448 recovered cases and 1 more death for a total of 25 COVID-19 related deaths. (12/29/20)
Through the end of the year, free testing will be offered Monday- Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Texarkana- Bowie County Family Health Center at 902 W. 12th Street, Texarkana, TX 75501. There are no requirements for testing (residency included), oral swab with results in 48-96 hours, and pre-registration available at www.gogettested.com.
