Texarkana, Arkansas City Board to Take Up Tax Rate

The Texarkana, Arkansas City Board of Directors meets tonight beginning at 6:30 at City Hall.

The board will consider an ordinance levying the 2016 tax rate. Prior to that vote the board will receive a presentation of the Budget Variance Report to be given by Finance Director TyRhonda Henderson.

In other business, directors will consider approving the Citizens Bill of Rights, and take up an ordinance accepting a comprehensive records management system including regulations for maintenance, retention, and disposal.

There will also be comments from the Mayor, along with questions from Directors and other business, and a citizens communication time.

The board will go into closed executive session, then reconvene to make appointments to various boards, commissions, and committees.

The public is invited to attend the open portions of tonight's meeting that gets under way at 6:30PM at Arkansas City Hall.
