
Texarkana Arkansas Police Arrest Suspect in The Christmas Day Homicide
The Texarkana Arkansas Police have arrested a suspect in the Christmas Day shooting that killed Aaron Bruce.
Back on Christmas morning of last year police were called to the Brook Hollow Apartments for a complaint about gunshots being fired, located at 2511 East 24th Street.
When police arrived they found Aaron Bruce suffering from gunshot wounds. The officers attempted life-saving measures but were unable to save Mr. Bruce and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Then shortly after the police put out a warrant for Tarus Melek Walker for Capital Murder.
Yesterday evening Wednesday, April 26 officials with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department detectives along with the U.S. Marshall's Service arrested Tarus Walker.
As we stated earlier, Walker was wanted in for the Christmas Day homicide of Aaron Bruce. According to the TAPD's Facebook page:
After many days and hours of investigation and surveillance by both agencies, Walker was observed at the Parkside Apartments located at 1400 East 35th St. A brief foot chase ensued and Walker was apprehended. He was found to be in possession of a handgun and marijuana at the time of his arrest. Walker faces murder charges based on the warrant and multiple other charges due to today's
arrest.
