It's hard to believe but summer will start winding down soon and kids will be going back to school. That's why you need to mark your calender for the big annual Community Back to School Bash in Texarkana and it's free.

It will be a day of fun for the kids and their parents. Each year everyone looks forward to the free backpack and school supply giveaway, but these items go fast so you will need to get there early and get yours, while the supplies last.

Texarkana Community Back to School Bash Details: When and Where to Be

The Community Back to School Bash will be held on Saturday, August 9. The event is so big it's held at Razorback Stadium located at 1900 E. 18th Street in Texarkana, Arkansas from 9 AM to 1 PM.

If you want you child or teen to recieve a free backpack and school supplies then you are asked to get there at 9 AM.  All kids must be accompanied by a parent or a gaurdian.

The event will have some fun activities like bounce houses, face painting, music, games and other interactive activities. Parents will be able to find information about local organizations that have resources to support their kids possible needs during the school year.

Genia Bullock, TASD Director of Public Relations said in a press release,.

This event is about bringing our community together and making sure every child feels supported and excited for the school year. We want it to be both a celebration and a resource.
