The holiday season is here. Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away, and then Bam! It's the Christmas Parade! Now is the time to register if your group or business is interested in being in the parade.

This year’s theme is  “Celebrating Texarkana” as we celebrate some big milestones with the Texarkana Public Library, Texarkana Texas City Hall and long-time business Twitty Nursery all turning 100 years old this year. This is the perfect season to celebrate Texarkana and our history!

A Texarkana Holiday Tradition for the Whole Community

The Christmas parade will roll through downtown Texarkana on Monday, December 1, at 7 PM. Everyone loves this parade! Families and friends from both sides of the state line gather every year to see the floats, hear the festive music, and cheerful faces that make this annual event such a great tradition.

If your group is interested in joining the fun, you need to get your applications in now.  Early entry fees are:

$35 for marching bands and cheerleading squads

$45 for non-commercial and non-profit groups

$55 for commercial entries

After Friday, November 7, all these entry fees will increase by $20, so apply now.

Be Part of the Christmas magic in Texarkana.

Whether you’re decorating a float, playing in the band, or bringing your family to watch the parade, this is a great way to kick off the Christmas season and “Celebrate Texarkana.”
