The 27th Annual Main Street Christmas Parade rolled thru downtown Texarkana  Thursday evening. Young and old braved the cold weather and lined the streets to get a glimpse of Old St. Nick, the highlight of the evening.

The parade which was supposed to be Monday of this week had to be moved to Thursday because of weather conditions. The parade  didn't miss a beat! With plenty of area school marching bands, some pretty impressive floats, and lighted vehicles, the electric parade seem to put a smile on everyone who attended.

The parade marshals were Mayor Wayne Smith of Texarkana,Arkansas, Griff Hubbard, Amtrak-Texas Eagle local revenue manager and Stephen Luebbert, Texarkana Regional Airport director.  All three local dignitaries rode live camels and waved to the jubilant crowd on hand.

At the end of the parade Santa Claus switched the lights on at the downtown Christmas tree on State Line Avenue.

Yes, Christmas has come to the twin cities...Merry Christmas!
