Texarkana Artic Blast of Freezing Temperatures This Week

I say 'maybe' because well... as you know last month we had not one but two very cold snaps and lots of snow was predicted. Then everyone all around the Texarkana area, we are talking to the west of us, to the east of us to the north of us and even to the south of us, everyone got snow but us.

Winter Weather Advisory in effect Tuesday night at 6 PM until Wednesday Morning at 10 AM

As it stands right now the Texarkana area forecast shows that we will have a lot of rain on Tuesday afternoon with a high of around 43. Then on Tuesday night, more rain is in the forecast and temperatures will drop to 24  with a chance of freezing rain in our area before midnight and possible snow after midnight. But they are still saying very little ice or snow accumulation is expected. But please be aware that even a little ice can be dangerous for roads, sidewalks and parking lots whether you are driving or walking.

Extremely Cold Temperatures Wednesday and Thursday Nights in Texarkana - Remember the 4 Ps

The big thing to worry about or to prepare for is the super cold temperatures, especially on Wednesday night with an overnight temperature of 16 and Thursday night's low down to 19.  Daytime temperatures for Wednesday through Friday will only be in the mid to upper 30s. With the freezing temperatures so low at night, we need to remember the four Ps again.
