Over the years, you have seen all kinds of fireworks shows, maybe even produced some in your own yard occasionally. But Texarkana is about to get a first, a real drone show from our friends at Big Dam Water Park.

Details

Yeah, we don't really have any of those just yet. All we have seen so far is the Facebook announcement, which sets your mind ablaze with possibilities.

We do know the show is happening on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 5 - 9 PM, with music from DJ X.

You Have Seen A Drone Show, Haven't You?

If you haven't seen a drone show yet, they are extremely high-tech and very cool. We have some fine examples below.

Here is the information released from Big Dam Water Park from their Facebook Page:

On July 5, the night sky above Big Dam Waterpark will come alive in a way Texarkana has never experienced before...
We're keeping some details under wraps for now. Just know you'll want to be there when history is made.
Mark your calendar. Tell your friends. Stay tuned.
Because some moments are too big to watch from someone else's social media post.

That's it! The posting was made on June 22 on the BDW's Facebook Page. The only update to that came out 2 days later:

But since then, we've heard babba-stinky.

More details are bound to come out this weekend, so keep your eyes peeled, and we will too. This is gonna be fun! First drone show in Texarkana? We can't miss out on this.

Tunnel 2 Towers Steel Across America - Texarkana Stop - June 3, 2026

On the 25th anniversary year of 9/11, this steel beam from the Twin Towers in New York that fell on September 11, 2001, is a must-see. The ceremony was very well done and featured short speeches from both Texarkana Mayors and Fire Chiefs. I know many in attendance weren't even alive when the attack happened 25 years ago, but for those of us who remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when the planes struck the towers, it was an amazing thing to see and touch. If you have the chance to witness this, you should. Find out more at T2T.org.
