Free Family Fun at ILAR Field Day – Games, Food & Battle of The Badges in Texarkana

If you're looking for a family fun event this Saturday, ILAR Field Day 2026 is bringing a full day of games, activities, and community spirit to Texarkana.

The free event is set for Saturday, July 25, from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Terry Lee Rogers Recreation Center, located at 1 Legion Drive in Texarkana, Arkansas. Hosted by In Love and Rich and Life Up Rose City, the event is for all ages to enjoy a day packed with family-friendly fun.

Games, Food, and Fun for Everyone

Guests can enjoy classic field day activities like sack races, relay races, tug-of-war, kickball, and even water balloon fights. There will also be vendors and food trucks on hand with items and food for purchase.

Admission is free, although donations are appreciated. Those who attend will receive access to games and activities, a scavenger hunt card, a wristband, and kids can even enjoy a free hot dog.

Battle of the Badges Debuts

One of the newest additions to this year's event is the Battle of the Badges, kicking off at noon.

The friendly competition will feature teams from the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department and the U.S. Army, with organizers also inviting firefighters, EMS crews, additional military branches, and other first responders to join the fun.

Competitors will battle it out in a relay race, basketball shooting contest, and even a hula hoop relay.
