Collaboration for Texarkana's Film Friendly Certification
The Film Friendly Texas program is part of the Texas Film Commission, a division of Governor Greg Abbott's Office of Economic Development and Tourism. This program helps over 200 cities across Texas learn how to support and accommodate film and television production crews. For Texarkana to earn this certification, which included training, and for Texarkana, Texas city officials to put together a local film ordinance, guidelines and appoint a contact for production questions.
These certified communities receive ongoing training and guidance on film industry standards, how to accommodate on-location filming, and, fingers crossed, open the door for Texarkana to get some screen time.
