Did you know there are 263 kids in foster care in the Texarkana area, but only 30 homes are open for fostering? The need is big. At this event you will learn how you can make a difference and if fostering or adopting is right for you.

Learn The Rewards of Fostering, Adopting & Mentoring

There will be representatives from agencies and organizations available to answer any questions you might have. There will also be a panel of foster and adoptive parents and families that will share their experiences to give you a real idea about the challenges and rewards of being a foster or adopting a child. They will also serve a free meal thanks to Chick-fil-A on Richmond Road.

Is Fostering or Adopting Right For Me?

This event will take place from 6 PM to 8 PM at Williams Memorial United Methodist Church in Westley Hall where you will find help in learning how you can help kids in our area. There is no high-pressure attempt to talk you into fostering or adopting a child or teenager if you feel you aren't ready. This is about finding out where you might fit in your ability and desire to help.
