Texarkana Gun Club Is Fired Up for 2026 Shooting Season

Whether you're a weekend plinker, serious hunter, or competitive pistol or rifle shooter, the Texarkana Gun Club (TGC) has just what you need to sharpen your shooting skills.

History of Texarkana Gun Club

The original members of TGC began acquiring East Texas property off Hwy 67 near Maud in 1969 to give this small group of folks a good place to shoot and enjoy their sport of choice. That facility has grown to encompass around 200 acres today and enjoys about 400 paid annual memberships. Read more TCG History.

Yes, It Is A Private Club

Paid TGC Members and their guests can shoot any day they wish during normal operating hours, as long as Matches are not in progress. You can check the schedules online before you go.

Weekend TGC Matches Are Open To Anyone!

Our Matches are, with rare exception, held on Saturdays, and, under normal circumstances, over before 2 PM. You do not have to be a member to participate in a match. Match fees are collected and used for Range improvements.

Most matches allow you to shoot the first one for free, so you can experience just how much fun the shooting sports are, and what a nice Club you have in Texarkana.

• Running and gunning with pistols or pistol-caliber carbines? USPSA is for you.
• Standing still and shooting at steel plates, best time wins? Steel Challenge is for you.
• Bench Rest Center Fire Rifle target shooting? The 3rd Saturday Rifle Match might be your style.
• .22 rifles out to a maximum of 200 yards on paper targets? Plinker Plus is a fun and inexpensive match.
• Souped-up .22 rifles out to 600 yards? Like the Air Force used to say, you gotta aim high, and join the ELR Association Matches.

Yep, something for everyone.

Where Is TGC?

• TGC is located about 15 miles west of Texarkana off Hwy 67 and FM 2147 near Maud. (See Map)
• Meetings are held at 6:00 PM on the 4th Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted, at the Southwest Center, 4222 W. 7th Street, Texarkana, Texas.
