To ensure its decisions are aligned with the community’s priorities, Texarkana Independent School District has launched a survey for the entire community now through April 4, according to a press release from the school.

The survey is open to all parents, employees, students and community members.  Survey questions address teaching and learning, student opportunities, school culture and climate, facilities and operations.

“To ensure we’re setting the right priorities for our schools, we want to engage every community member in an honest conversation about how we can best prepare our students for the future,” said Paul Norton, Superintendent of Schools.

Here are the details:

  • Online survey open from Tuesday, March 21, through Tuesday, April 4;
  • Compatible with any computer, tablet or smartphone;
  • Parents and community members can take the survey here.
  • Paper surveys available upon request at each campus;
  • Surveys available in English and Spanish.

TISD has partnered with independent research and communications firm K12 Insight to administer the survey and compile the results.  K12 Insight will be sending email invitations to all who have a current address on file with the district.  Email address will not be used for any other purpose.

All responses are strictly confidential.  No one at the district level will know who participated or be able to connect respondents to their answers.  K12 Insight’s final reports will share only the overall findings, not individual comments or responses.  Data collected will be used by district leadership as they make decisions for the district, engage in strategic planning and share information with the community as an effort to close the loop with different stakeholders.
