Next week, March 3 through March 7, is Texas Public Schools Week and the Texarkana Independent School District has some great events planned to celebrate and the celebration will be held throughout the week and at all of their elementary campuses.

Events for Parents and Grandparents at Texarkana ISD For Texas Public Schools Week

All the elementary schools will have two special events next week, one will be Donuts with Grownups and the other will be Grandparents' Coffee. This is such a great opportunity for parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and other family members to get involved and talk with their child's teachers and see the schools they attend.

These events will also showcase the great teachers and school staff that teach, encourage, and influence our kids every day.

Kelly Bixler, Director of Communication and Marketing said in a press release,

In celebration of Texas Public Schools Week, we’re excited to invite families and community members to join us in recognizing the great work happening across our campuses.

If you are a grandparent this is a wonderful way to show your support in your child's education.

What Schools are Participating in Texas Public Schools Week in Texarkana?

All nine elementary schools in the Texarkana Independent School District will be participating, Dunbar Early Education Center, Highland Park Elementary,  Morris Elementary, Nash Elementary, Spring Lake Park Elementary, Theron Jones Early Literacy Center, Waggoner Creek Elementary, Wake Village Elementry and Westlawn Elementary.
