Texarkana Police Arrest Man on 4 Drug Charges Including Distribution
Texarkana Texas Police along with Texas DPS troopers and Bowie County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Texarkana man in the Pleasant Grove area for selling drugs from his house after investing the situation for several days.
A search warrant was issued for a house on Chaparral Street last Friday morning, January 6. Authorities found almost 2.5 pounds of marijuana and 42 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and Lance Lovell, 38, was arrested on several drug charges.
According to the TTPD Facebook page;
Our narcotics investigators had been looking into reported drug sales going on at this house and the adjoining property that faces Pleasant Grove Road. Over the last several days, they'd been able to make multiple controlled buys there from Lovell prior to the issuance of the search warrant last week.
Lovell was charged with two drug possession charges for marijuana and mushrooms that were found on the property. The investigators also already had two arrest warrants for him that were Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
Lovell was allegedly selling the drugs from the house that is across the street from a child daycare center. Authorities say they 'enhanced' one of the charges because the area is a drug-free zone.
Police arrested Lovell at the property without incident. He was booked into the Bi-State Jail with a bond set at $185,000.
