Texarkana Radio Control Flying Club Presents “Fly the Line” April, 19-22
Texarkana Radio Control Flying Club is proud to present "Fly the Line" April, 19-22 at Ravel Stroman field at Lake Wright Patman off Hwy 59.
This high flying event is open to all types of model aircraft. If it flies your encouraged to be a part of this fun event. There is a $25 landing fee which includes a lunch. There will be a concession stand for visitors, limited covered pit area with electricity and overnight camping is available, but no hook-ups available.
Flying is allowed from 9AM until dark each evening and some night flying is possible. Pilots from Central Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, will show off their aerobatic skills. All types of airplanes, helicopters, and jets will be represented such as, military, civilian, aerobatic, sailplanes, and vintage war planes.
Visitors will be able to view all types of flying including scale, aerobatic, hovering a plane, or 3D. Aircraft will come in all sizes from 12 inch "foamies" made from styrofoam to 18 ft. plywood and balsa planes. Power plants from small electric motors to 342cc gasoline engines will be pulling the aircraft in the sky.
Watching these guys fly these model planes is pretty amazing. It's like watching a mini airshow.
