The City of Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department is inviting residents to clean out their closets and recycle responsibly during the Spring Community Yard Sale and Electronic Recycling event on Saturday, April 11.

The event will run from 8 AM to 3 PM at Spring Lake Park.

Community Yard Sale Set for April 11

Shoppers can expect a wide variety of items, including furniture, toys, clothing, and household goods. Organizers say the event is designed to give families a chance to find affordable treasures while helping neighbors declutter.

Vendor spaces are available for $15 per 20x20 space. Registration must be completed in person at the Southwest Center, 3222 W. 7th Street. Payment options include cash, check, or money order. Registration closes at 7 PM on Thursday, April 9. Food vendors will not be permitted.

Electronic Recycling Also Available

Electronic recycling services will be provided by E-Tech Waste. Recycling electronics helps protect the environment by keeping harmful materials out of landfills while allowing valuable metals and components to be reused.

Accepted items include desktop computers, laptops, tablets, servers, routers, monitors, LED and LCD televisions, printers, gaming consoles, phones, sound systems, microwaves, and associated cables and adapters.

CRT televisions and monitors will be accepted for a fee:

  • Up to 22 inches – $15
  • 22–27 inches – $30
  • Over 27 inches – $50

Items not accepted include batteries, light bulbs, and freon-containing appliances such as refrigerators and air conditioners.
