The Texarkana Texas City Council meets today at 6PM at City Hall. Among several agenda items, they will discuss electric rates.

Council members will consider a resolution denying the application for authority to increase rates submitted by Southwestern Electric Power Company, according to the City's press release.

The council also will consider a resolution accepting HUD Section 108 Loan Guarantee Assistance in the amount of over $1.4 million relating to the Grim Hotel Restoration Project in downtown Texarkana, Texas.
