What to Do This Weekend in Texarkana

The weekend before the Fourth of July holiday is a little quiet as we store up our energy for the big summer holiday next week, But there are still a few great events to check out in Texarkana this weekend.

Family Movie Time Friday at The Texarkana Public Library

Bring the kids to the Texarkana Public Library for two showings of the movie 'The Tigers Apprentice' rated PG. The first showing is at 10 AM and the second showing is at 2 PM.

Steak Night at Elks Lodge 277

Every Friday night it's Steak night starting at 6 PM then it's Karaoke Time at 8 PM. The Elks Lodge is located at 3702 New Boston Road and the evening is open to members and guests.

Farmers Markets

Gateway Farmers Market with veggies and fruit grown within a 75-mile radius of Texarkana, AR. Open Saturday from 7 AM to noon, located at 602 East Jefferson Ave.

Texarkana Farmers' Market will have their Biggest Tomato Contest, where vendor will be showing off their biggest tomatoes. The winner will be announced at 11 AM. Opens Saturday 8 AM to noon. Located at 500 North State Line.

Back to Roots Health & Wellness Market Summer Event

Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM. Enjoy vendors and free samples. Plus their will be crafts for the kids. Back to Roots Health & Wellness Market is located at 2315 Richmond Road

And of course, loads of live music in and around the Texarkana area.
