
Texarkana Winds 2025 Concert Series Kicks Off With British Invasion
Texarkana’s Community Concert Band, the Texarkana Winds 2025 summer concert series, begins this Friday, June 13, at 7 p.m. and continues on Friday, July 11.
British Invasion Concert June 13
The first concert is titled "British Invasion" and will feature music from Great Britain with a medley of tunes from the musical “Phantom of the Opera” by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Music from The Beatles will also be highlighted during the performance with a select medley of tunes including “All You Need Is Love,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “With A Little Help From My Friends,” “Michelle,” and “I Want To Hold Your Hand.” Classic pieces written for Concert Band by English Composers, Ralph Vaughn Williams and Gustav Holst, will be performed.
These family-friendly FREE concerts will be held on the front porch of the 1894 Gallery at 105 Olive Street in downtown Texarkana, beginning at 7 p.m. The concerts are part of Downtown Live, bring a lawn chair and enjoy a free show.

All America Extraganza July 11
The Texarkana Winds will perform a variety of American musical styles, including a medley of patriotic music and solos from members of the band. This concert will certainly stir up your patriotic spirit with selections from American composers Irving Berlin and John Philip Sousa
The Texarkana Winds Community Concert Band is an all-volunteer community wind ensemble founded in late 2024.
