Texarkana’s Newest Fun Place to Eat ‘The Chillee Bean’

If you haven't heard there is a new eating place in town and it's called The Chillee Bean located at 3425 East Broad or Highway 67 East in Texarkana, Arkansas.

I dropped in for lunch yesterday to have their Philly Steak Sandwich because it looked so good in the picture on their Facebook page. I must say it was mouth-watering delicious including the home-cut fries that came with it. When it comes to Philly Steak sandwiches I'm pretty picky but I must say, they nailed it!

While I was waiting for my food to come out several customers came in to order off their selected menu. I think maybe next time I'll go for the Lana Burger, named after one of DeAnna's daughter who by the way works there. Yes, it's a family run business, DeAnna takes the orders and then gives out the orders to her husband to cook the food. That sounds familiar doesn't it?

The Lana Burger is a hamburger with pulled pork topped off with a homemade onion ring and BBQ sauce.

This morning while I write up this blog I am eating one of their bacon breakfast burritos with a hashbrown, simply scrumptious! You need to try out their breakfast sandwiches too or their old-fashioned biscuits and gravy, they are HUGE. They even have breakfast platters, pancakes and fresh brewed coffee.

For lunch they have everything from pulled pork sandwiches, classic hamburgers, wraps like Chicken Ceasar and Philly Steak. They also make all their salads fresh everyday and they give you a LOT as seen in this picture.

Make sure you try thier appetizers such as, fried pickles, jalapeno poppers,cheese sticks, and the biggest onion rings you'll ever sink your teeth into.

Nothing like a satisfied customer.

The Chillee Bean also serves a variety of shaved ice, I had a sample of one called Bart Simpson which is banana and rasberry flavored and one called Wedding Cake which tasted just like its name.

Your invited to join The Chillee Bean Grand Opening on Saturday. Oct. 27, there will be live music, a costume contest for kids and games and prizes. The O'Malley's say, The Chillee Bean is only the beginning they have so much more planned for the future. They want to personally invite the Texarkana community to come out and help celebrate their Grand Opening.
