The digital license option will be available online on August 15. When you have a digital license you won't receive a printed license or tags and you need to keep your digital license available through your mobile device while in the field. Digital tagging is required of digital license holders through the Texas Hunt & Fish mobile app.

The app has a new name, now The Texas Hunt & Fish (it was called My Texas Hunt Harvest). With the app, you can make submissions of mandatory harvest reports, including alligator gar harvest reporting, and it supports digital tagging of harvested deer, turkey, oversized red drum and spotted seatrout for certain license holders. You can also complete your on-site registration for several TPWD public hunting lands.
